CTET — Central Teacher Eligibility Test

Overview

CTET is a national eligibility test for candidates aspiring to become teachers for Classes I–VIII in central government schools.

Eligibility

Candidates need a senior secondary qualification with D.El.Ed / B.Ed as applicable to the level (Paper I or Paper II).

Exam Pattern

Two papers: Paper I (Classes I–V) and Paper II (Classes VI–VIII), each objective with child development, language and subject sections.
